Starting April 20th, Meg Dowaliby is teaching a six-class Yin Yoga series called Turning Toward the Light. If you've been looking for a reason to try yin, or you're a longtime practitioner ready to go deeper, this is the one.
The series follows the botanical arc of the season—seed underground, first shoot breaking through, the plant unfurling, full bloom, bearing fruit, and finally the whole garden in its season. Each of the six classes has its own theme and physical focus, but they're designed to build on each other, so students who come for all six experience something cumulative that a single drop-in class simply can't offer.
Physically, the series moves through the lower body and side body in the early classes, opens the heart center, and then, reaches its deepest expression in week three. This series is accessible for complete beginners and seasoned practicioners alike.
The thread running through the whole series is a single question, planted in the opening meditation of the first class and returned to in the last:
What is waiting to grow in you this spring?
It's a simple question. But six classes of practice has a way of answering it.
Here are the details:
Mondays & Wednesdays, April 20th – May 6th, 6:00 – 7:15 pm.
All levels welcome. Props provided.
$108 for the series
****Series included in membership. Members must register. If you have a punch pass with at least 6 classes left that you would like to use of the series please contact [email protected] to register.
