My name is Val. I am a mom, a partner, and a yogi.
I love everything related to the outdoors, eating well, connecting with friends, and growing as a parent.
Yoga is a practice that I come back to daily to help manage anxiety and life's ebbs and flows.
Some days I focus on my breathing or pranayama, other times I meditate. Sometimes I build heat with vinyasa or powerful movements, or I'll settle into stillness with yin or deep stretching. Sometimes I do it all.
Regardless of HOW I practice, yoga always shifts my energy and grounds me back to self. It gives me strength, stamina, a sense of purpose, and balance.
This is the power of yoga that I love to share with others!
I welcome you to join me in group classes, private sessions, or workshops.

My Experience
In 2023 I completed my 300 hour yoga teacher training with Matt Giordano with an emphasis on Chromatic Yoga. My 200 hour yoga teacher certification is through Yoga Motion under the guidance of Nancy Ruby and Martha Piersma. I have taught over 1,000 hours of yoga and am now an E-RYT 200 through Yoga Alliance. In 2017, I completed 85 hours of advanced training in prenatal yoga with Yo Mama, inspired by teachers Kirsten Warner and Katie Wise and I am now a practicing RPYT. In 2021 I completed a Health Coach certification through the American Council on Exercise and am a Certified Coach of Yoga Mindset Coaching through the Sangha Yoga Institute.
I have training in trauma-informed yoga, yin yoga, and yoga nidra, otherwise known as yogic sleep. I continue to take courses and trainings as a way to grow personally and professionally. I hold a BA from the University of Vermont and a M.Ed from the University of Montana in Curriculum and Instruction.
